Event Space
We have four different rooms for public use at Gryphon. Each room is unique, so please read through each to make sure the room you book is a good fit for your needs!
All rooms require a credit purchase to reserve. Credit purchases are made via PayPal as part of the reservation, and are applied to your account as store credit. Store credit can be used in either at the Purple Cup Cafe, or Gryphon Games & Comics
The credit purchase required depends on the time you are requesting. Typically, $10 for weekdays, and $50 in the evening or on weekends.
There is no outside food or drink allowed in our rooms (Birthday cakes are exempted).
We can cater any event.
If you would rather bring in outside food or drink, we charge $50 as a room rental fee (not credited back to you). Outside food and drink cannot leave the room you're renting, and state law prevents any alcohol from being brought in at all.
You do not have to reserve a room to use it! However, if a room is reserved by someone else, you cannot use it. Plan accordingly.
The Tolkien Room is our smallest, but larger than hobbit sized! It fits a regular game group (6-8) people comfortably.
Reservations for the Tolkien Room are for four hours, and require a $20 credit.
The Shelley Room is our largest, and able to fit about 40 people. We have a screen for your projector, or you can use our tv for presentations.
Reservations for the Shelley Room vary by time.
Weekdays, the time blocks are 2-hours long and require a $10 credit purchase.
On weeknights and weekends, time blocks are four hours and require a $50 credit purchase.
The Wells Room is a set of three sit-down tables that can each host a typical role-playing group or other game group. The Wells Room is not reserved as a whole, but as individual tables. Tables are 4'x8'.
The Wells Room is not recommended for private events.
Reserving a table in the Wells Room is always a $10 credit purchase for a 4-hour time block.
The Lovecraft room is our other good large meeting room. It can easily fit twenty people. We have a screen for your projector, or you can use our tv for presentations.
Reservations for the Lovecraft Room vary by time.
