Regular Events

Art Meetup - Every Wednesday afternoon a group of local artists meet at 3pm in Shelley to discuss art and work on their personal projects. This is an open and inviting group, but there is no contact.

Board Games - There are board games on Tuesday nights that are open to new players. This meetup is run by CSU's Sci-Fi and Fantasy Club which has always been very open and welcoming to walk ins and board game enthusiasts, student or otherwise. There is no contact person.

Chess - There is a competitive chess community that is organized locally through the Fort Collins Chess Club, but part of a national organization. This meets two Saturdays each month (generally the second and fourth Saturdays) at 9am. Players must be registered through USCF to participate. Go to uschess.org to register.

Dungeons & Dragons: Adult - Every Saturday we run D&D games. Games are one-shots, and new player friendly. Anyone who has not come before should join a level one table and learn how we run things at the event. Dungeons & Dragons: Kids - We run D&D afterschool for kids every Monday, with more dates added as possible. These are two-hour, afterschool sessions that are run on four consecutive weeks. It's $95, which includes $40 in store credit so kids have something to buy food and supplies in store. Flesh & Blood - Every Sunday at 12pm we run a Flesh and Blood Armory event. Usually this is a Blitz tournament, but we announce ahead of time special events we may be running such as team tournaments and the recent Farewell to Rathe tournament. Magic: The Gathering - Every Monday we host Modern and every Friday we host Modern and Draft. All events usually fire depending on release schedules (frequently Modern players will Draft after a new release). Events start at 6pm, and you may sign-up online here:

There is also casual Magic on Tuesday. We run Commander League every Saturday at 11:30am. This league is run by the calendar month, you sign-up on the first Saturday of the month, and prizes are awarded on the last Saturday of that month. Sign up here: https://calendly.com/lovecraftroom/commander

Pokémon - Join us for Pokémon on Sundays. It's all ages, with people showing up around noon. Our event starts at 1pm. Pre-releases take the place of regular tournament play when a new set releases. Normal play sign-ups can be found here: https://calendly.com/shelleyroom/pokemon

Song Writer Meetup - The first Wednesday of each month at 6pm is a songwriters' meetup. Gather, jam a little, and write/chat about what you are working on. This is a community run event that is happy to have more people attending.

Warhammer and other miniature games- Every Thursday night, a good number of folks gather for Warhammer and other miniature games including Warmachine, Blood Bowl, and more. Games start as early as five, and are mostly pick-up games. There are also monthly tournaments.
